Sydney Allen, Intern

Sydney Allen is dedicated to supporting children, adolescents, adults, and couples, with a particular focus on individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. She brings a strong foundation in trauma-informed, attachment-based care and is committed to helping clients build insight, resilience, and meaningful connection in their lives.

Her previous experience working with children impacted by complex trauma has shaped her understanding of emotional regulation, relational safety, and the process of rebuilding a sense of self. Through this work, Sydney developed a deep appreciation for creating environments where individuals feel safe, supported, and empowered to heal.

Sydney takes a warm, collaborative approach to therapy, grounded in the belief that meaningful change occurs within a safe and trusting relationship. She integrates evidence-based practices including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Somatic Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. She also emphasizes the connection between mind and body as an essential part of the healing process.

She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Counseling and Psychological Services at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and is working toward licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).

Sydney believes that while life can be challenging, no one has to navigate it alone. She strives to create a nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to show up as they are. Her goal is to work alongside each individual to better understand their experiences, develop practical and personalized tools, and foster a greater sense of grounding, connection, and meaningful growth.
