Trauma Therapist

Embrace healing, strength, and a renewed sense of self.

Emotional wounds and past experiences can shape how you see yourself, how you relate to others, and how you navigate life. At Alliance for Healing, our trauma therapists specialize in helping clients heal from the lasting effects of trauma—whether from a single event or long-term experiences of pain, loss, or neglect.

Our therapists use evidence-based, compassionate care to help you process what you’ve been through in a safe and supportive environment. Together, we’ll work to understand how trauma has affected your emotions, body, and relationships, and help you build tools for stability, self-compassion, and resilience. Healing is possible—and we’re here to help you find peace and empowerment beyond the pain of the past.

Unresolved past experiences

They’ve gone through something distressing (like abuse, loss, or an accident) that still affects their thoughts, emotions, or relationships.

Emotional triggers or flashbacks

They find themselves easily overwhelmed, anxious, or reactive in situations that remind them of past pain, even if they don’t fully understand why.

Difficulty trusting or connecting with others

Past trauma can make it hard to feel safe in relationships or to open up emotionally.

Physical or emotional symptoms that won’t go away

Chronic stress, nightmares, hypervigilance, or feelings of numbness might point to trauma that needs to be processed and healed.

Desire to break old patterns

They recognize that past experiences are influencing their present—whether through self-doubt, people-pleasing, or avoidance—and they want to create healthier ways of living and relating.

Meet Your Trauma Therapist, Julie

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. Julie is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and Board-Approved Supervisor with over 12 years of experience supporting individuals and families through life’s hardest moments.

Her background includes intensive in-home family therapy, five years working with juveniles in detention and day treatment programs, and serving as a Clinical Supervisor for therapists providing family-based care. Julie is trained in TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)— a virtual, evidence-based therapy helping children, teens, and caregivers heal from trauma through coping skills, trauma processing, and caregiver support. She is also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)—an evidence-based trauma treatment and alternative to EMDR that helps clients process distressing memories safely and effectively.

Known for her warmth, humor, and advocacy for those who feel unheard, Julie meets clients with compassion and creativity. She helps individuals navigate challenges, uncover strengths, and move toward healing and growth. Whether you’re processing trauma, facing family struggles, or simply need a space to be heard, Julie will walk alongside you every step of the way.
